DR. STANLEY R. BERGER, M.D.
Dr. Berger is a native of Philadelphia. He graduated from Princeton University in 1984 and received his medical
degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of
Medicine in 1988. In 1991, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Temple University. He later went to Cooper Hospital/ University Medical Center where he completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease. He recertified his Cardiovascular Board certification in
November, 2005.
In 1995, Dr. Berger joined Cardiology Medical
Associates, PC where he now serves as Vice President.
He holds a position as clinical associate professor at
Drexel University College of Medicine and is a
member of the staff and teaching faculty at Mercy
Catholic Medical Center. In 1999, he was appointed
as assistant director of the cardiac cath lab at the Mercy
Heart Center at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. He served
as chairman of the Performance Improvement
Committee from May 2000-May 2002. He currently serves
on the Medical Board at Mercy Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Berger was a principal investigator in the
NT-proBNP Study in Healthy Populations which helped
to gain FDA approval for proBNP in the United States.
He is also a principal investigator in an HDL assay study
for patient identified for statin therapy. Dr, Berger is
a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, an
active member of the Association of Black Cardiologist
(ABC), and a member of the Society of Cardiac
Angiography and Interventions and the Society of Cardiovascular Computer Tomography. |
